These methods differ in terms of their ability to target a particular plant tissue for chemical spray. On the other hand, thermal methods are done by heating up the soil to prevent the growth of several weeds.

Perennial plants are plants that live for more than two years through vegetative production rather than seeding. Perennial plants have special forms of stems and crowns that allow them to survive during cold and dry seasons. This is because perennial crops only require a minimal frequency of weeding and fertilizing every year.
