International Business Program

The Director of the International Trade Centre of the University of Texas at San Antonio, Cliff Parades, lectured in Ecuador on small business development. Under the auspices of the United States Embassy, the conference will be held in Cuenca on October 4 in Guayaquil on October 5, Manta on 6 October and in Quito on 7 and 8 October.

Cliff Parades is the Director of the International Trade Center at the University of San Antonio, a support center chain Centers Small Business Development (SBDC for its acronym in English) in the United States. SBDC Network uses public and private academic collaboration to support business. The speaker speaks Spanish and has lectured on the subject in Mexico, El Salvador and Colombia. In each of the three countries have established the SBDC or have established links with the network in the United States.

His goal is to use the SBDC model to unite with other businesses throughout Latin America to share experiences, to support new businesses, help existing ones to enter the formal economy and to support all businesses in various aspects of development.

Presentations on the development of small businesses are more government support of the United States to Ecuador’s economic development through bilateral programs and exchange of ideas and experiences.
